Edible Oil Market Report

Advisory Bazaar Info Services

Global edible oil markets continue to remain volatile amid weather-related concerns and rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.

* US-Iran tensions: Tensions between the US and Iran have escalated, with both sides warning of serious consequences if the existing MoU is not followed.

* US Soybean Crop: Adverse weather conditions in the US are increasing concerns over soybean crop conditions and the risk of lower production.

* CBOT Soy Oil: CBOT soy oil is trading above the key 70 resistance level. Sustained strength could open the way toward 75.

* Fundamental Support: Lower US soy oil stocks and firm crude oil prices continue to provide support to CBOT soy oil.

* KLC Palm Oil: Malaysian palm oil futures are showing a mixed trend. Concerns over El Niño are providing support, while weaker exports are limiting the upside.

* Argentina Soy Oil: Strength in CBOT soy oil is keeping Argentine soybean oil FOB prices firm.

* Indian Soy Oil: Firm CBOT and Argentine soybean oil prices are likely to keep soy oil landing costs in India elevated.

Indian Market Outlook

Soy Oil: Expected to trade ₹5–10/10 kg higher today.

Palm Oil: Expected to remain largely stable.

Mustard Oil: Expected to trade ₹5–10/10 kg higher.

Overall View: The edible oil market remains supported by firm global vegetable oil prices, elevated crude oil prices and weather concerns, while weak palm oil exports could limit further gains in palm oil.
