🔹 U.S. equity markets closed lower, with major indices declining in the range of 0.26% to 0.93%.
🔹 European equity markets also ended under pressure, falling between 0.43% and 0.91%.
🔹 Asian equity markets are trading in the red today.
🔹 Indian markets are showing slight strength, with Sensex and Nifty trading higher by around 60–25 points.
🔹 Crude oil prices continued to rise on Monday as escalating tensions between the U.S.-Israel alliance and Iran, along with concerns about a possible closure of the Strait of Hormuz, threaten global oil supply.
🔹 Brent crude rose by about $2.01 (1.95%) to $105.15 per barrel, after gaining $2.68 in the previous session.
🔹 U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude also climbed $1.61 (1.63%) to $100.32 per barrel.
🔹 On Friday, the S&P 500 Index fell about 0.6%, marking its third consecutive weekly decline, the longest losing streak in the past year.
🔹 The Nasdaq-100 Index also dropped around 0.6%, closing lower for the third straight week.
🔹 Asian markets are also under pressure as investors assess the impact of rising oil prices and escalating U.S.–Iran geopolitical tensions.
