Iron ore prices declined amid seasonal sluggishness.
🔹 In Asian trading, iron ore prices fell. The most-traded contract on the Dalian Commodity Exchange dropped 1.2% to 754.50 yuan per ton.
🔹 Currently, both supply and demand remain weak, mainly due to the seasonal off-peak period.
🔹 Overseas shipments have seen a seasonal decline, and potential disruptions to Australian exports caused by rainfall are also affecting supply.
🔹 Steel mill margins remain stable, and hot metal output is expected to gradually improve.
🔹 End-user steel consumption has decreased ahead of the Lunar New Year holidays, adding further pressure on demand.
🔹 Reduced risk appetite and lower liquidity before the holidays are also weighing on prices.
