U.S. equity markets closed on a flat to negative note.

European equity markets, except DAX, ended in the red.

Asian equity markets are trading with a mixed bias.

Sensex - Nifty is trading with a gain of around 25–5 points.

U.S. Under Secretary Allison Hooker met India’s Foreign Secretary Vikrant Misri, discussing steps to advance the vision set by Presidents Trump and Modi. The meeting focused on concrete progress in areas such as defense, energy, technology, space, and supply-chain resilience—aimed at boosting U.S. security and jobs while also supporting India’s development.

U.S. equity markets remain cautious ahead of the Federal Reserve’s expected third consecutive rate cut scheduled for Wednesday. Investors are closely watching the Fed’s dot plot, updated economic projections, and Chair Jerome Powell’s speech.

Asian markets are trading mixed on Wednesday as investors await policy cues ahead of the Fed’s final interest-rate decision of the year.

Oil prices remained steady near their largest two-day decline in a month. Global oversupply concerns continue to weigh on sentiment. Brent crude is trading around $62 per barrel, down about 3% over the past two sessions.
