US equity markets ended mostly in the green, with the exception of the Dow Jones, which closed slightly lower.

European equity markets closed on a flat to positive note.

Asian markets are trading mixed as investors await further clarity following a strong rally in the US markets. The surge helped erase year-to-date losses, driven by easing trade tensions and softer-than-expected US inflation data.

A tech-led rally in the US on Tuesday offset earlier losses for the year, as the trade war initiated by President Trump appeared to be entering calmer waters.

Brent crude slipped 0.38% to settle at $63.43 per barrel.

On the domestic front, the Sensex and Nifty advanced by 430 points and 145 points, respectively.
